This is the Silk Satin Cord from SHINDO (S.I.C.). This series of products was created in response to demand from European fashion houses. Class 5 raw silk is used, and each stage, from refining and weaving to dying is undertaken in Japan to create this Japanese-made flat cord. This cord is made of double-woven fine-width satin. It is hollow in the middle, and produces a wonderful sound when tied, as the satin rubs against itself. Perfect for lace up corsets and bustiers, as it has a luxurious texture, but can be tied up tightly. Also highly recommended for waist and shoulder ties on silk nighties (nightwear), or as a gift ribbon for wrapping luxury goods up beautifully.
